Corstorphine Old Parish Church

Who we are and what we do

Who we are and what we do

Corstorphine Old Parish is a Church of Scotland church serving the old village of Corstorphine, stretching

out to the western edge of Edinburgh and including the business area of Edinburgh Park and the South Gyle.

Originally built by the Forrester family of Corstorphine Castle, after nearly 600 years we are still a busy church at the heart of a community, welcoming the very youngest and oldest and everyone in between.

The 9.40 service is a fifteen minute time of worship for people with young families, consisting of songs,

prayers, stories, games and crafts and finishing off with coffee and croissants.  It takes place in the High

Street Hall and families are welcome to come into the church for the first part of our 10.30 service, a more

traditional service of worship, lasting around an hour.

We celebrate communion at the end of the 10.30 service on the first Sunday of every month, and have full

services of communion at 8.30 and 10.30 on the first Sundays of October, December, March and June.

Coffee and tea in the High Street Hall give people a chance to meet and have a blether after the  services.

Weddings and baptisms can be arranged with Moira, our Minister.

Our High Street Hall can be hired for functions and parties through Christine in the church office, and a variety of

groups and organisations meet every week.
